چکیده

Conditional Reactive Hierarchical Memory(CRHM) and its dynamic sensory gating system are proposed. CRHM has the hierarchical intelligent structure and has the efficient mechanisms of an acquisition stage, a retention stage and a retrieval stage for the memory process. The sensory gating system is designed for the adaptive perception in a retrieval stage. The sensory gate is tuned in to regulate the degree of reaction according to the stimulus frequency and the empirical knowledge. This system is applied to the area for estimating the purchasing degree from the type of customer’s tastes, the pattern of commodities and the evaluation of a company.

T-type Ca2+ channels in thalamic sensory gating and affective Disorders

Low threshold Ca2+ currents mediated by T-type channels underlie burst spike activities of relay neurons in the thalamus. We have previously reported that knock-out mice for T-type channels show an enhanced nociceptive response to visceral pain, accompanied by an increase in tonic spikes in the absence of burst spikes in thalamic relay neurons. These results raised a possibility that T-type cha...

Developing Persian version of Sensory Gating Inventory ‎‎(SGI): Validity and Reliability‎

Introduction: Sensory Gating Inventory (SGI) measures behavioral aspects of Sensory Gating (SG). It is a filtering mechanism of brain that prevents irrelevant sensory inputs from entering into higher cortex information processing. It modifies sensitivity to sensory stimuli. Abnormal SG leads to overloading of information into cortex and brain dysfunction. Electrophysiological techniques cannot ...

Attention and short-term memory in contrast detection

Low-contrast visual stimuli have been found to produce a memory trace, enhancing subsequent target detection for as much as 16 s. Here we show that the memory trace depends on dynamic interactions between low-level stimulus properties and a higher-level gating process. Detection of vertical targets (Gabor signals) was enhanced by preceding vertical Gabor primes, but suppressed by preceding tilt...

Working memory gating mechanisms explain developmental change in rule-guided behavior.

Cognitive control requires choosing contextual information to update into working memory (input gating), maintaining it there (maintenance) stable against distraction, and then choosing which subset of maintained information to use in guiding action (output gating). Recent work has raised the possibility that the development of rule-guided behavior, in the transition from childhood to adolescen...
